Join us for a first person presentation of George Knox. George, a freed slave, settled in Greenfield after the Civil War and opened a barber shop. He paid a young James Whitcomb Riley to paint shaving mugs for his customers.

Mr. Robert Davie will be our interpreter for the evening. Sharing George’s stories and discussing his time in Greenfield. Mr. Davie is a volunteer interpreter at the Indiana Historical Society.
