KidsPlay, Inc. children’s theatre will present its spring production of “Fairy Tale Confidential” April 12 and 13 at 7 p.m. and April 14 at 2 p.m. at the H.J. Ricks Centre for the Arts, 122 W. Main St.
In this collection of 10-minute, family-friendly, one-acts, characters from fairy tales and well-known stories reveal a different side of their personalities, with behind-the-scenes and “what really happened” stories. Robin Hood has a pesky younger sister; Charles wants to turn the chocolate factory into a health food company; Dr. Jekyll’s Mr. Hyde is a socially-inept MISS Hyde; Charles Dickens got his start in stand-up comedy; Hansel and Gretel fight like brothers and sisters really do; Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty trade places; and Rumpelstiltskin is really sorry about taking the queen’s first-born child.
Tickets are available for $5 at Hometown Comics, 1040 N. State St. or at the box office an hour before show time. Additional audition information can be found KidsPlay’s Facebook page or by emailing the director at KidsPlayInc@me.com.
